It would have made all the difference if the staff had been nice and interested in us as guests.
Some members of staff were very good.
no manager available, although signs said no smoking room room did smell of stale cigarettes. Paint smells throughout but a refurbishment was underway. No toast at breakfast and when waiting for service at the breakfast area three members of staff just stood around....I work in the customer service industry and a lot of the failings of the hotel could be overcome by the things that are free (people skills) attend to people, smile, if you dont know the answer say so and go and ask.
