bitter - sweet

Lovely interior to the hotel, nice restaurant/staff. In a very good location to the Racecourse and a pub across the road.

The shower in our room was at boiling temp and could not be turned down which was very infuriating and dangerous. The staff on Reception had atitude problems and did not make us feel welcome. When I paid our bill and attempted to speak to the lady about the shower she turned away and went about other business with her collegue never glancing back.

Adequate but spoiled by the above bad points.

The room was spacious and the breakfast was very enjoyable.

The lghting in the room was atrocious. There were only 3 working lamps and all has energy saving bulbs which gave out insufficient light. The top of the four poster bed was very dusty and clearly had not been cleaned for a while. Just outside the room a piece of carpet was loose, causing a health and safety risk (this was reported to a member of staff). Car parking was a nightmare. The hotel car park was full and I was very reluctant to leave my ��40k+ Jag out on the street.

Very enjoyable would definitely use the hotel again.

Newly decorated. Spotlessly clean. Close proximity to town centre and large park for walks.

First room I was given wasn't ready for use but staff changed my room immediately and apologised for the error.

Very good.

Room.Restaurant.

Newspapers had to be collected from reception on the last two mornings.We believe this was due to the hotel being under-booked.

good location to town centre. Overall not bad.

Staff were very pleasant

1) Exterior of the Hotel is poor (Reception area is very modern and well presented)2) Rooms are very dated and tired.

Really enjoyable would recomend to others but only if they were to book the new refurbished rooms as the old rooms were not very nice.

22 people in our party and we were checked in very quickly. We booked the standard rooms but on arrival most of our party were given the new refurbished rooms which were a lot better.

Dont think i would of enjoyed my stay as much in the old rooms as they were very basic, old fashioned decor and tired looking.
