the hotel accomodation was clean and comfortable. good choice of menu for a small hotel and all meals were very good. the hotel is quiet but central to this small village.overall good value for money

room very clean and spacious, double glazing good as room overlooked busy road junction, food excellent, friendly helpful staff

not much information given at checkin, drinks from the bar seemed a bit expensive compared to others in village

A good place to stay to explore the area and would stay again if could get a special deal and a quieter room.

Without exception every member of staff was polite, friendly and helpful.

We felt the room was a little overpriced as decor was a bit tired, alsowe were near the road and had to keep the window shut to keep out traffic noise, as the weather was warm this resulted in the room being stuffy.

Excellent.

Staff always freindly, sleeping accomodation very comfortable and breakfast excellent. Have stayed at this hotel a number of times now with very little, if anything, to complain about.

Very pleasant. A welcome break in our journey north.

Very short walk to historic town.Good Food.Good Beer.Log Fires.Petrol station closeby.

Pleasant room & quiet good breakfast but spoilt bt the experience of the dinner & wine service.

Good Inn with rooms & excellent bar menu.

Overall an overpriced menu, but good food. The young waitress had not been told how to serve wine and did not show me the bottle, took the cork out in the kitchen & did not attempt to let me taste it.
