Breakfast needs improving but generally it was good

Staff were very nice and place was convenient for us, it was walking distance to Hyppodrome were we were having conference. We had clean sheets and clean towels

toilet sink was bloked, we had cold boiled eggs and no toast for breakfast. bath water and shower water was not warm enough.

I was looking for value accommodations and I guess i got them. London is supposed to be very expensive. I felt like I paid a lot to be in a hotel for poor people. If I'm looking for value accommodations next time, I'll shop around a bit more.

The staff was helpful and responded with alacrity when I had a problem. There was always someone at the desk so help was always available. Breakfast was generous. The sheets and towels were clean, and the water was hot and with good pressure.

The shower drained poorly, so a long shower would mean an inconvenience for the person below. The shower nozzle was poorly mounted, but this was quickly fixed. Free WiFi in the rooms was advertised, but never available. I could use wifi in the small uncomfortable lobby or in the restaurant which wasn't open Saturdays or late at night. Many times the wifi was completely non operative, and the staff regretted that they couldn't get into the office and turn it on. Only certain people had the key. Though the facility was billed as nonsmoking, my room reeked of smoke, I believe from just below where the kitchen workers took their breaks. And the room was very small.

The first thing that you notice about this hotel is the plastic and silk flowers hanging from the window boxes and hanging baskets, it was a health & safety nightmare, especially the dark and narrow corridors leading from the reception area to the bedrooms, with the dark blue carpet and numerous steps, i lost count the amount of times i tripped up. The appearance/decor and general facilities of the hotel was dated and dirty, and in need of major refurbishment. The bedroom was basic in the least, there was no socket by the mirror for the hairdryer, there were no side lights for the bed only the main light socket hanging from the ceiling which had no lampshade, the bath panel was cracked. Breakfast was disorganised with a poor choice on offer, advertised as a buffet breakfast, but don't be fooled into thinking this will be the traditional buffet style breakfast which you would normally find in most 3* rated hotels ie: A traditional english breakfast, there was a choice of cereal, toast, egg mayonaise, tuna & sweetcorn and salad, tea was a cup with hot water and a tea bag. Luckily we were only staying 1 night and will not be returning.

Good - problems with toilets can happen anywhere especially if the guest before has flushed unsuitable things down. It was a pity somebody did not look at the toilet as soon as I reported the matter as I was out for the whole evening.

Food was good and staff were friendly. Everything was clean.

Toilet would not flush and I did report it but it was not looked at 'til after I checked out. I had to throw kettles of water down the toilet to flush it.

Adequate

Convenient to Wembley

Shower poor, room in need of decoration, but adequate. Continental breakfast not very good. We went elsewhere.
