Acceptable but spoilt by the booking problems caused by the hotel. An agreement on compensation was agreed and assurances for future bookings confirmed. We have decided to give them a further opportunity to show that this was, as claimed, a one off occurance.

The Hotel is clean, staff are freindly and helpul, in general, and the facilities offered are satisfactory.

On this particular visit we had a phone call about an hour before our departure from home to say that the hotel had over booked and could not provide the room we had agreed on the Thursday night. This was depite the fact that we had booked several weeks in advanced and telephoned the week before to confirm that the groundfloor room required, due to my wife's disability was available and allocated. The lady charged with sorting out their mistake was not very helpful and I finally had to speak with the Manager to reach an agreement. The whole matter was upsetting and in our veiw unnecessary. We do not understand how or why this happened when our booking had been made in advance and accepted by the hotel.

Was absolutely delighted with the hotel and service

Hotel was extremely clean, the staff very friendly and helpful and also it was lovely and quiet.

Fulfilled my requirements for an overnight stay in all respects.

Friendly staff. Room adequate. Breakfast of a good standard. Plenty of free car parking available.

Good value, a comfortable and friendly hotel.

Staff efficient and friendly. Hotel comfortable and not too noisy.

Unfortunatel a smoke alarm in a room went off at 3.00am Monday morning and the hotel was evacuated, but we were not kept outside too long and the staff soon had us back in our rooms.

Overall we were very pleased with the hotel apart from the comment above.

The room was first class in every respect, restaurant was also very good.

As we sleep with the window open at all times, the noise from the extractor fan above the kitchen during the night was a nuisance and even with the window closed you could still hear it.
