We would stay at Taplow House again but we would make sure that our room is located in a quiet part of the hotel. In other words, not over the special event/conference rooms.

Beautifulgrounds, well-maintained property, excellent dining experience and an extremely attentive staff made our overnight stay very pleasant.

Be warned... Our room was situated directly over the special events room (The Tulip Room) where a DJ played very loud music for a birthday party until midnight and we had to fly out early the next morning.

Our overall experience was excellent. On check-in we were given a room upgrade, which was a nice touch. The room was quite comfortable and well appointed. The staff were helpful, friendly and took time to chat. The restaurant was excellent. We particularly liked the menu which offered individual wine pairings with each dish. We also liked the extensive grounds, which could not be enjoyed to the fullest because of the season.This hotel would be a good choice for a special occasion such a birthday, anniversary, or a romantic getaway. Best time would be spring, summer, or early autumn when the weather allows full enjoyment of the grounds.

The hotel was everything one would expect for its class. The staff friendly helpful and efficient, the room was excellent, as was the restaurant.

A minor comment: Wireless internet access should be included in the room rate as it was in other hotels of this class where we stayed on this trip.

The hotel is set in very fine grounds and has a nice country house feel to it. It offered great value for money.

The shower in my room had very little water pressure except whenit was scalding hot!

The booking was not for myself but for my daughter and partner who arrived home from china on a delayed flight and missed their connection . I would like to thanks the staff or their attention to detailand quality of service which meant my duaghter ( and my wife and i )had a stress free evening I would definitely recommend the hotel to friends
