Friendly, helpful, relaxing and all round Excellent!

The staff / owners couldnt have been more helpful and friendly. Our room wanst ready when we arrived as it was only 10.30 but they let us in it anyway so we could drop off our bags and get changed as we had been driving since the early morning. The room was lovely and the breakfast gorgeous. Will definetly return to this hotel.

Excellent

We arrived early and our room wasn't ready but we were offered breakfast.We got the "last" room which was a bit small and we were given a discount without asking for it.Extremely helpful friendly staff.

I liked the location - very central, approx. 10 minute walk to the Princes Street.

I disliked that we had the basement room which has its own doorway and the guests in the otherbasement room would stand by our window outside to smoke, and as a non smoker, I did not like my rooom and bathroom smelling of smoke that came in from outside, as it did not seem to shift!

The location is excellent but the cobbled road tends to increase traffic noise although this wasn't a problem in the winter with the windows closed.

Clean, comfortable & quiet.

We were four girls looking for a good time and a nice hotel and thats exactly what we found. The value for money was superb and the breakfast was definitely up to scratch. All in all I reccomend it.

The room was fabulous, breakfast was amazing and the staff were ever so friendly. All the wonderous sights Edinburgh has to offer are in walking distance. I would definitely reccomend this hotel to a friend. And we enjoyed it so much we are returning in April.

The only complaint we had was the drilling and banging in the room upstairs beside one of the rooms we had to stay in. It started quite early in the morning and kept the two girls awake.
