Nevis Range is open all year round and has many other events including the mountain bike championships, as well as breathtaking views. In the summer months there is a steam train from Fort William to Mallaig which was used in the Harry Potter movies and is reputedly one of the most beautiful train journeys. Fort William is the last stop in the West Highland Way, the walk starting in Glasgow. The Great Glen Way walk from Fort William to Inverness is becoming very popular too.
