Liked: I booked this hotel as it was cheaper than the usual hotel we stay at for the nights required. As the cost was considerably less, I was expecting the hotel to be of a poor quality.
I was amazed at the quality of the room.....spacious, clean, comfortable and within easy access of the train.
The staff were professional and helpful.

Liked: Room nice and bed comfy
Disliked: Reception staff unhelpful in taking money from me on arrival despite me advising them I was travelling with a colleague and they would provide a work credit card for extras. Wouldnt let me into my pre-paid room until I handed over £25.00 in cash to receptionist for 'extras' despite advising my colleague was arriving 2 hours later and would cover both rooms extras with work credit card. I was advised once this was done I could get my money back but then another receptionist refused to give money back until I checked out. Awful, unwelcoming and rude. Will not stay again despite the rest of the hotel being perfect for what I needed. Front office staff are responsible for first impressions and yours leave a very sour one, were more interested chatting to their colleagues than waiting guests.

Great proximity to London City...
Liked: Room was very spacious. All is new. Bar was open till 12, Breakfast had plenty of options. Biggest bonus is the proximity to London city airport. If connecting wit O2 arena this hotel has a superb location.
Disliked: Coffee. Not great coffee.

Liked: The closeness to the dlr, it's practically in the station. That should be advertised better. The pool was great, didn't eat in the hotel but it seemed a lively enough venue.
Disliked: Being asked for a deposit on arrival even though I had it fully paid for months ago. That has never happened at any hotel I've stayed at. Although through no fault of the hotel I am still waiting for my bank to process the refund if the deposit which can take weeks for them. However I just feel if 'incidentals' were to occur the hotel already has your card details!?

Liked: The cleanliness of the pool/sauna/steam room
Disliked: That there were kind in the swimming pool from 13:00 - 17:30 which pretty much out the pool and swusm q steam room out of bounds
