What a beautiful hotel; very pleasant staff; lovely room and the bed was so comfortable we didn't want to get up. Will definitely stay there again.

The room was lovely; excellent facilities - slippers, robes, fridge, iron, ironing board and safe. Would definitely stay here again - very nice.

Disliked: Problem with cold water tap on sink.

super hotel ideal for a...

Liked: This is a really good hotel for a stopover in Leicester. Initially I was a bit concerned when I walked in from the rather eccentric car park as the corridor was a bit cold and draughty, but from then on I was more than happy with all aspects of the hotel. The room was large and clean, with a really comfortable bed. It had a large basic white bathroom but the push button shower was brilliant and it was clean with a fantastic huge bath towel, which is unusual. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful and the hot breakfast was both on the buffet and fresh cooked as an alternative. I only had soup from the bar menu but it was excellent and the restaurant menu looked good. Overall very pleased with my choice.

Liked: Lovely old building and room. I expect it's Edwardian. Room was huge; one of the old main rooms of the house. (Some rooms are much smaller) Very comfortable. Bathroom looked recently renovated and was excellent. Breakfast was fine (even though they forgot my tea).
Disliked: They had promised me a quiet room, however, there was no double glazing in the old room, and people walked past at midnight and 6am. I found the window was open in the morning, which surprised me. Someone upstairs seemed to move furniture and clomp around about 1am. It wasn't very noisy but also wasn't exactly quiet. They kindly appologised in the morning and told me the room was normally very quiet and had been allocated specially to me.

Delightful

Liked: The location is superb and the staff could not be more friendly and helpful. Probably the best hotel - most satisfying Hotel we stayed at during our 10 days in the the UK this trip. We will be back I am sure !!
Disliked: Stairs within a single floor when taking bags to the room. We were not referred on check in to the right Elevator to avoid these trials. Otherwise no problems.
