Comfortable stay great location for...
Liked: Breakfast was good, the room was spacious and bed very comfortable.
Room service was ok and staff friendly, great location for ExCel centre where we were exhibiting and room rate was good value.
Disliked: Sadly the room smelled really bad ( smoky / dirty) on arrival, and again on returning at the end of day 1 ( I stayed 2 nights) . Resolved once the window was opened but a poor first impression.

Liked: Easily accessible and fantastic location
Disliked: I asked for a quiet room because of my exam and I was given the room where the people noise was as loud as someone in my room

Liked: Very clean & comfortable bed. Breakfast was superb.
Disliked: I would've liked a balcony, upgrade offered firstly for £70. We said we wanted to think about it & when i asked a little later I was then quoted £100.! Even to be able to open the window would've been nice.

Worse stay at a hotel,...
Liked: In a great location
Disliked: From the moment we got into the hotel, the staff was hesitant talking amongst themselves and not acknowledging us until we looked over at them. The guy who was training checked us in with a very mono tone, the room we were given was very standard considering we are IHG members, when we called down for them to upgrade us he said we?d have to pay £50 and I explained to him that we?re IHG member she and every other Crowne Plaza upgrade us every time because of our membership and he then went silent with no response, he only responded when I said hello and he was like yes I?m here like he didn?t listen to a word I said.We then went down to reception to get an upgrade explaining to him that we are IHG members and don?t ever pay for our upgrade, here he was very dismissive and not helpful at all, he said he can only go by what?s on his screen instead of asking for our names and email so he can check for the membership.He has us there for about 5 minutes being nonchalant about it all until the woman next to him overheard and came over to help, she checked the email etc and still couldn?t find our membership which we then had to call up another Crowne Plaza to get the membership number for them to upgrade us which took us another 20 minutes to sort out.They didn?t even tell us what?s facilities are available to us, where to go for breakfast or anything along those lines.We got to the room and there was only one of everything when there was two of us, there was hair in the bathtub like it wasn?t cleaned properly and on the floor.On the day of our checkout the staff kept coming to our room knocking on our door asking when we?re checking out which should?ve been told to them by reception but clearly it wasn?t, at one point one of them even opened the door proceeding to let herself into our room. Absolutely disgusting, considering my partner was in the bathroom and the door was open.
