Fabulous

Liked: Great breakfast. Staff on arrival were very friendly and helpful (whoever we had spoken to on the phone earlier obviously wasn't there!)
Disliked: We had phoned to ask to have a room to get ready in and leave bags there (as we had to go to a wedding prior to check-in time). Over the phone they had said no and not been very helpful.

A Characterful Room BUT An...

Liked: Character room. Nice view into Church. Room very clean.
Disliked: Very noisy - there was a lot of banging which sounded like a small bomb had gone off and was loud enough that the bed rocked each time. This kept happening on a regular basis ( anywhere between 5 minutes to 20 minutes between bangs) till 11pm!! Very uncomfortable bed. TV didn't work correctly despite could only access 1 channel (news) and this kept freezing. Staff tried to resolve issue but couldn't. Felt manager/owner dismissed issues. Not worth its 4 star rating.

Lovely quaint break

Liked: It was quaint. Decorated for its age. Lovely. Cosy. The staff were helpful. There was tea & coffee facilities in room. Including shortbread. Full size toiletries available should you forget something. Breakfast was booked for 9:15. The boss served and cooked for us. Lovely full English. Nice independent shops on same street.
