Disliked: I was travelling up to Scotland for a comp on the Saturday morning. I know it would be around midnight but i got there due it being over 200 miles away, i had conversation with the B&B viv email and a phone call with a plan to leave the key in safe place for our arrival. However i arrived a little after midnight to found no key had be left. It was -10 outside and we had no where to stay. I have tried to make contact with the B&B for a few days now and got no reply!

Liked: That it met expectations and I had an enjoyable stay for my early meeting the following morning.

Decent value for the price
Liked: The room itself was quite spacious, especially for the price. The bed was comfortable and there was a small kitchen area on the landing which had a microwave, toaster and loads of crockery and cutlery if you wanted to heat up some food. The location was good, fairly easy to get to and not too far from local attractions. Overall, decent value.
Disliked: Despite arriving well within the advised check-in time, when I walked up to the front door just after 4pm, all the lights were off, the doors locked, and there was no answer when I called the phone number. I waited on the front step for half an hour until the owner finally showed up. She had no idea I was arriving and didn't know that I'd already paid. Once this was sorted out, however, she was friendly enough and showed me up to my room. I wouldn't say there is any hotel-specific parking here - you have to park on the next street over if you can find space. There was also a distinct smell of stale cigarettes in the foyer, and a lingering curry smell in the upstairs landing. The towels in the bathroom were a little worn, and the shower needed a good scrub to remove the built up soap scum. I also couldn't get the wifi to work.

Delightful, highly recommended.
Liked: Very pleasant stay at the Grampian Hotel, very clean and homey room, lovely and well heated, terribly affable and friendly staff! Pleasantly located in town with good free parking and we had a view of the Tay!
Disliked: We were a bit confused about how to check out early but Heather was a wonderful host!

Liked: The bed was comfortable and sheets were clean. Shower was good and strong. Quiet room with beautiful view and nearby cafes and restaurants and pubs.
Disliked: Only one mug between two, no milk. Then the second day loads of milk but no mug. The cleaner moved everything between rooms when we were out so we couldn?t find things the next day (nothing went missing, just wasn?t where we left it) and the floor was pretty dirty.

Liked: The hotel was a beautiful old house. Our room was huge with a great view of the water.
Disliked: This hotel was pretty do-it-yourself. We arrived during "check-in hours" to find our key on a table outside the door. We saw the woman who runs the hotel once and could not find her again during our stay. We were not sure how to check out so we just left our key in the room. No breakfast at the hotel but there were dishes, a fridge and a microwave for people who wanted to bring their own things.
