Poor value for money

Liked: Common spaces were done nicelyDouble bed was comfyGood location
Disliked: Very dated, needed more cleaning, beds were wobbly and not against walls but didn't look like the gap between them had seen a hover in years.Only shower attached to bath taps but no way of attaching it to wall above your head or any shower curtain so you had to sit in the bath to have a shower. Room was ridiculously hot- no ventilation ventilation- windows could open but as on the street were very noisy Continental breakfast was very poor- stale cereals/ cheeses, fruit was already on turn. No one greeted to say what the deal was...Advertised as having parking but you actually have to pay

Not a good experience

Liked: Close to city centre. Quaint. The room was quite nice.
Disliked: Bathroom extremely cramped and grubby. There was no hot water. There was no lift and the stairs were very steep.

Very good

Liked: We liked the personal service of Mr Sunil. He's friendly to us and we had some good chats about families etc The hotel is simple yet cozy. We love the private garden too.
Disliked: It's difficult to take a shower in the bath tub. We being very tall, have to kneel to shower in order not to wet the small bath room. One of the wooden panels flanking the bathtub is warped and may need some attention. Perhaps families with many languages like us can have bigger rooms on ground or lower floors. The task of lugging all our bags up the many flights of steps was daunting. Just for your attention. You may want to replace the broken window pane of Room 6.

Lovely weekend in Canterbury.

Liked: The croissants at breakfast were delicious. The hotel?s location was excellent and our room was good. The bed was comfortable and it was a nice touch to have a mini fridge. The staff were pleasant and it is evident that they care about providing a decent service. The facilities were as described. It was nice to have access to the Greyfriars Garden at the back of the hotel.
Disliked: I would say that the ensuite shower room was on the small side and the water pressure in the shower was a bit weak. The decor could do with updating, but I understand this is in the process of happening and to be honest, I think the reasonable pricing compared to nearby hotels reflects this.

Good location, bad hotel.

Liked: The location was the main benefit of this accommodation. A stones throw from the city centre.
Disliked: The parking was a public car park and a walk from the hotel. This wasn't made clear on the site. The bed was big but filled up most of the room. You could only walk around one side of it so you would have to climb over each other to get out of the bed. The toilet was very loud and smelled of chemicals. The breakfast was virtually non existent. Toast, yogurts and cereal.

Liked: Great location just off the Main Street within 10 minute easy walk to the Cathedral.
Disliked: No one answered the door when we were trying to check in nor the mobile number on the door. Was expensive for the quality. Poor water pressure which made the hand held shower over the bath pretty useless.
