Great location and value for...
Liked: We had a fantastic nights stay at High Street Townhouse in January as we were going to a gig at Manchester Cathedral.
Alison was so nice on arrival. Very pleasant and clearly passionate about Manchester which was nice to hear. A very warm welcome.
We paid £85 for our room which I think is outstanding value considering it is basically an apartment! It had a good sized bed room, well equipped bathroom with a very good shower, and a large living/dining area. Everything was larger than the pictures suggested.
The living room was welcome as it is nice to have a space to relax which isn't lying on a bed. We enjoyed having some time to watch some shows on a large TV after the gig.
The kitchen is really well equipped. Whilst we didn't cook anything I believe most meals would be possible with what was available. There was a good amount of glasses and cups which were used.
We found our apartment to be very clean and we really liked the style. As a listed building it feels modern but is cosy as well.
We slept well, no problem with noise, but it was winter so the windows were shut. The rooms are opposite side to the road though and we thought it very peaceful.
A great city centre location, near a co-op for supplies and the bar next door does a good breakfast (you get a 10% off voucher). It seems close to everything we needed.
We'd certainly stay here again, and hopefully for longer next time!
Disliked: We thought everything was good. If I was going to be really picky then maybe some coat hooks on the wall as you go in. We lacked somewhere to put our coats. It's such a minor point though but booking.com wants me to write something!
