Diana G, Madley, visiting Arena Birmingham Fri, 12 October 2018

Great hotel; fairly central to the main shopping area and extremely close to the Arena Birmingham. Rooms comfortable and clean, service very good.

Liked: Location and service was excellent.
Disliked: We had a meal in the hotel which was rather pricey and average.

I am still talking about the breakfast. Came for a school reunion - room was compact but lovely. Would definitely stay again.

Hotel great, rooms not quite...

Liked: Location. Comfortable public spaces, relaxed environment, whilst still maintaining a professional and diligent air. Overall the staff were most conscientious, engaging and sincere, with particular note to the maitre d', this chap knows his stuff and we were made to feel like his personal guests. Food of a good standard, and well presented. Breakfast good, and excellent value with a '2 for 1' offer on when we stayed. Excellent location for bars, venues and simply walking the canals.
Disliked: Very hard beds - 6 in our party and all agreed that they were too hard for our liking. Some smaller/flatter pillows would have been appreciated too. Rooms on the small side, and shower-room 'caravan' small. Room warm, even with 'air-con', meaning window needed to be open. Brindley Place can still be lively at the weekend until the early hours, resulting in my getting up at 3.30 am to shut the window - design layout of surrounding building amplifying the noise.

Comfortable clean and relaxing stay

Liked: The room was simple but comfortable, the pillows were so nice and we had a great night sleep , the staff who dealt with us were friendly and approachable. The hotel was in a good area , by some great restaurants and even though we were by a busy night life we weren?t disturbed. Lovely experience
Disliked: Prices of some things were a little steep, paid 10 pound for 2 orange juices

Will have a better look...

Liked: The bar and restaurant staff were great and the bar and restaurant area were lovely.
Disliked: The reception staff had the personality of robots. The room was pathetic being that it was for someone with a disability. Small low sink, no hot water, and a tiny bed supposedly for two people.
