Kevin S, Derby, visiting Birmingham Hippodrome Wed, 12 April 2017

Stayed one night to go and see Billy Elliot at the Hippodrome. Really close to the theatre and station. Large choice of restaurants in the area. Would definitely stay again.

Liked: Central location and close to the theatre. Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast.
Disliked: Nothing bad at all.

Katie, Plymouth, visiting O2 Academy Birmingham Mon, 4 November 2013

Had everything we could have asked for - bath robes, refreshments, TV, bathroom essentials, comfy beds, HUGE mirrors, heating, a bath. Everything was GREAT!

Liked: Everything else was amazing! Felt like a princess, everything was beautiful!
Disliked: Being on the 9th floor - VERY loud winds.

I would go back again and stay. I prefer the Holiday Inn to most other hotels.

Liked: Nobody bothered us whilst there and the room was nice and the windows opened so it was really nice.
Disliked: The attitude of the head of cleaning - he was very rude upon leaving the hotel. He came into my room uninvited because he saw my boyfriend and his friend talking whilst I had the door open and the cleaner was tidying my room. When I asked why he was stood there staring at us, he had an attitude and said something about the welfare of the cleaner?

Had a lovely stay at this hotel while visiting for a gig in the city. Nice large, clean room with a lovely clean bathroom and shower. As the check out was 12 it would have been nice to have had a lie in after a late night, but struggled due to poor double glazing and sound proofing from noisy main road. But generally a good stay.

Liked: Clean room; large bed; great location.
Disliked: Noisy room/bad double glazing.

A great time was had!

Liked: The location is the big pull to this hotel and we come back time and time again for this reason.
Disliked: I really can't think of anything I needed. It is slightly more expensive than others in the area.

Very good

Liked: Comfortable bed and quiet for the location. Hats off to you, a hotel where you can actually find a socket, next to a mirror by natural light, rare indeed, brilliant! Do hotel designers not realise how important this is for getting ready, clearly they do here. Night staff very accommodating and curtious, given our hanging on until the early hours of the morning. Incredibly patient, thank you. Happier reception staff in the morning. Restaurant manager at breakfast, please thank him. So professional, friendly and smiley. Really makes a difference. Food was great too, good selection and quality.
Disliked: Room 716 a little tired as are the corridor carpets. Flickering lights in the long corridors are extremely scarey... Was waiting for the twins from the Shining to appear. Afternoon reception staff seemed not to be enjoying working there. No amount of smiling from me could break them. Not the warmest of welcomes. Please please check the light sensor timers in the conference areas ladies toilets. Not particularly fun panicking in the cubicle when the lights go out and realise you have to open the cubicle door before waving your arms around to get them on again.

Great location for Birmingham Hippodrome...

Liked: Nice big room and comfy bed.
Disliked: We were put in a room with disabled facilities which we had no need of. Not sure if this is common practice or if all rooms have these. Light out in bathroom and shower area bit shabby.
