Local attractions include: - Lechlade-on-Thames (4 miles): nestling on the banks of the River Thames, this small town houses a variety of shops, restaurants and leisure facilities. - Burford (13 miles): Burford is a renowned centre for antiques, teashops and gift shopping. It was nominated as the ' Best Shopping Street in Britain 2003' at the Antique Dealers Association Awards. - Cirencester (15 miles): the “Capital of the Cotswolds", this lively town still holds a traditional street market, held in the large and impressive Market Place, twice-weekly. Further away, Cheltenham (33 miles) and the historic city of Bath (46 miles) can be visited for day excursions. The area is also perfect for country pursuits such as walking, biking and horse-riding.
