The thoughtful supply of ear defenders was a nice touch; the friendly welcome and comfortable beds all combined to make our stay a fantastic one with good memories.

Liked: Spotlessly clean; fabulous breakfast!

Room from hell and money...

Liked: The only good thing about this hotel was the location
Disliked: I dont think its too much to ask to expect a good nights sleep when you book a premium room. When we booked this hotel last minute it was a a large superior room with a four poster bed.We was due to stay in Bournemouth but changed our minds, so when we booked this we cancelled that room to stay here.30 minutes after booking the hostess called us to say the room had been double booked...!! she told us the "only other room available" was a room at 95. I explained that as we had now cancelled our other hotel and paid for that room so I did not want to go to 95 especially when it was not our fault.she said the manager would call us back in 30 mins to see what they could arrange - so we waited and no phonecall.so we made our way to the hotel, upon arrival he apologised for the mix up and said before I take money from your care I will show you another room we have available ( seeing as earlier there was only one left ). the room was very tiny on the ground floor, with a window view out to a filthy back yard, with a glass door in the bathroom the viewed into their boiler house. So I asked is this the same price and he said yes, so even though we were being downgraded there was no offer of a discount..!After what was their mistake, If this was you would you have offered to upgrade us to the 95 room ( which he now said was 100 by the way) or downgraded us, I think its shameful because it became clear that this was just about the money and keeping the other room free in case of anoth booking.IT GETS WORSE.....So as we had cancelled our other hotel we had not choice but to accept. So we went out for the evening and was back at the room to get a good nights sleep, which is not too much to ask.however this room must be over the kitchen or something, there was an extractor fan running below our room all night long...! it was like sleeping next to a jet engine, it was horrendous, you could not hear yourself think and kept me awake all night.
