Would definitely stop here again. It was in lovely peaceful grounds and the staff were lovely, especially the night porter, telling me all the ghost stories - very funny :-)

Liked: Excellent hotel; staff very helpful and friendly; would definitely recommend! :-)

Disappointing, room was cold and...

Disliked: On arrival I was informed that I has been 'upgraded' due to having a party of noisy guests. What they failed to tell me was that I'd been 'upgraded' to a disabled room. No double bed as reserved, no bath just a cold wet room. Very disappointed and won't be staying again. Wi-Fi was so poor it just didn't work and as 4g signal was non existent there, was off grid during my entire stay.

Superb

Liked: It was quiet time of year and hotel wasn't busy. Staff were very attentive and kind, without being annoying. Walkers were stopping in for a drink and lunch and dogs were very welcome. Will certainly go again!
Disliked: We had booked a room in the court yard and were upgraded, which was kind, but we were looking forward to the booked room. We didn't say anything and it turned out to be quite handy to be closer in the main house. So we didn't really mind in the end.
