Hotel public areas were good. Morse bar was good. Parking was a bit dear, but OK. Breakfast was as expected, but my room let it all down.
Liked: Breakfast was good.
Disliked: Room view wasn't! Room was less quality than what I expected for the money. In fact, I am sure I was given an ordinary room.

Enjoyable stay, made to feel...
Liked: Breakfast great. Service friendly and fantastic.
Disliked: Bedrooms need an upgrade. Windows/blinds/curtains tired and not great function wise (very much the opposite of "blackout" curtains, for example). Otherwise nothing not to like!

A great base to explore...
Liked: Lovely breakfast to set you up for the day. Large room with equally large and comfortable bed.
Disliked: Shame that the building was covered with scaffolding - but needs must I suppose.

Liked: The Location is perfect, front desk and concierge staff excellent
Disliked: I didn?t get the feeling of being in a 5 star hotel, the size of the room and toilet a little small and The breakfast in the buffet was very disappointing

Liked: Nothing really about the hotel however the bed was comfortable and michael in the spa was a good masseur
Disliked: Hotel was shabby and not 5 star. It is an iconic building so living off that mainly I would say, but it is not for us. I imagine the foreign visitors find it charming though but we prefer something better cared for. The bar which looked cosy on the photos wasn?t appealing. It was cold as it has been opened to the hallway by the main door as well as the other entrance and the fire was not visible. The bedroom was really not worth the price we paid (nor the breakfast). The room was small - could hardly turn around in the bathroom and the extractor fan was like an industrial machine in the noise it made! we could hear every person walking by, their footsteps on the creaky floorboards and talking - it was as if they were in our room!
