By Car (from Glasgow Airport) - From Glasgow, take the A82 to Balloch. - Then take the A811 to Drymen. - Balmaha is 4 miles (6.5 km) further on from Balloch. By Car (from Glasgow) - Cross the Erskine Bridge, join the A82 and then follow the instructions above.

The impressive 500-year-old oak tree, under which the inn stands, is a focal point of the village of Balmaha and the attractive inn is the perfect setting in which to relax. Your hosts, Sandy and Lucy Fraser, invite you to take time out and enjoy a peaceful, restful, restorative break in one of Scotland's natural pieces of paradise. On the banks of Loch Lomond and overlooked by the slopes of Conic Hill, the inn is surrounded by spectacular scenery, magnificent countryside and stunning natural beauty. The inn is constructed from local slate and reclaimed materials are used throughout the interiors. The inn offers perfectly cooked traditional Scottish fare in the restaurant, a fine selection of lagers, beers and spirits in the atmospheric bar and top-quality accommodation with en suite bathrooms with showers. Each charming room is individually and uniquely decorated.

Admire the stunning scenery and enjoy hill walking on nearby Ben Lomond and Conic Hill, or experience Loch Lomond’s fishing, boating and water sports. You could even hire a boat from the boatyard next to the Oak Tree Inn. The recently opened Loch Lomond Shores, with leisure and shopping facilities amid beautiful scenery, is just 15 minutes’ drive from the Oak Tree Inn.

POLICIES: Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, 50 percent of all nights will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. All children under 4 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. Baby cots are not available. There is no capacity for extra beds in the room. Deposit Policy: 30 percent of the total amount will be charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable. VAT and city/tourist taxes: 17.5 % VAT is included. Service charge is not applicable. City/tourist tax is not applicable. Internet: No internet access available.
