Poor - 1 out of 5

Carole D, Southampton, visiting O2 Academy Liverpool Mon, 9 July 2018

Terrible, all this for £157.50. Will only stay again in WINTER.

Liked: Clean room and comfortable.
Disliked: No Air Con. The room was unbearably hot - the supplied fan just circulated hot air. I had to have a cold shower at 1am just to cool myself down! Very little sleep due to this and suffered a very bad headache because of tiredness and overheating.

Pleasant - 3 out of 5

JB, Bradford, visiting O2 Academy Liverpool Sun, 22 November 2015

A little difficult to find. Tucked out of the way. Excellent breakfast - plenty of choice, including fresh fruit, great tea and coffee machine.

Liked: Staff were friendly and welcoming. Room very clean with all the amenities one would expect. Good tea and coffee tray.
Disliked: The hotel restaurant was disappointing - starters were good but the rest of the food was lacklustre. The batter on the fish was soggy and the chips with the burger were not crisp. Portion size was good.

Exceptional - 5 out of 5

Lynne S, Fleetwood, visiting O2 Academy Liverpool Sat, 8 November 2014

Pity the chef did not take any pride in the layout of the cooked breakfast. It was just thrown in the serving dishes and not rotated. Lots of waitresses, so why could they not serve tea, coffee and toast to elevate the crush at buffet style breakfast?

Liked: Hotel and facilities excellent; would highly recommend hotel.
Disliked: Breakfast was very poor but could easily be improved; a problem with continuous door slamming - do the arms need adjusting for a quiet close?

Very poor

Disliked: Initially we were given a room which was below standard - Springs that were protruding on one side (8 that I counted), however once this was reported to staff we were upgraded us to bigger room and a much more comfortable larger bed, which was appreciated . Staff commented that this hotel is undergoing a refurbishment at the moment. My concern is that quality control is not being addressed adequately and also that reception staff seemed to lack knowledge about local tours, after the hotel had contacted me prior to say that the concierge would able to help with any tour bookings directly. Overall Liverpool is definitely worth a visit.

Good

Liked: Close to Lime St. Good meal in the restaurant Courteous and professional staff
Disliked: Very hard and uncomfortable bed. If we stay again I would also request a room on the opposite side to the station as you could hear the tannoy clearly until quite late.

Would definitely recommend a stay...

Liked: Location is ideal, the staff very polite and efficient. The breakfast was really good with plenty of choice, we also enjoyed a lovely dinner in the restaurant. The ship theme is very well done throughout the whole of the Hotel and the beautiful fish tank in the foyer is a show stopper.
Disliked: There was nothing to dislike in my opinion.

Liked: Close to the centre, the staff were lovely and kept our luggage till we could get in our room. We arrived early and went to see an outdoor concert our grandchildren were performing in.

Relaxing stay in a superb...

Liked: Great location. Free parking
Disliked: Restaurant/bar only open from 5pm. Can't even get a coffee unless you just use the facilities in the room (VERY limited amount of milk supplied tho!)
