Chris K, Liverpool, visiting Norwich Arts Centre Mon, 8 May 2017

We went to an event at the Norwich Arts Centre and I originally booked this hotel due to its proximity to the Arts Centre. What a stroke of luck - our room was overlooking the cathedral; nice and spacious; great bed! We went into the bar and grabbed a quick bite to eat - loved the bar and the food was great; all the staff were very helpful and friendly; can't recommend this hotel enough. Thank you for a great stay.

Liked: Fabulous room with a great view.

Ok but wouldnt recomend

Disliked: Couldnt get the heating in the room to work. Ok as i puton the electric oil radiror which had presumably been supplied because it was known the main heat source wasnt functioning. Still left the bathroom unheated. Bathroom had smell of drains, and mirror seemed to hsve some decoration on it which simply reduced its usefulness.

Beautiful hotel, excellent location but...

Liked: The best thing about this hotel is its proximity to all the places of interest; no car necessary, everything is within walking distance. Smart and courteous hotel staff, welcoming and comfortable reception area areas and lounges, comfy bed, good to have both a bath and a shower, good quality toiletries, lovely soft white towels, bottled water tea/coffee making facilities with shortbread biscuits. Staff were happy to recommend a florist to my husband and arranged for flowers to be delivered to our breakfast table for my birthday.
Disliked: The bathroom was a little tired, heated towel rail didn't work and had leaked on the floor and stained the tiles, there was a little mould around the shower screen, the hook on the back of bathroom door was falling off, the anti-mist bathroom mirror didn't work properly, the lighting in the bedroom wasn't adequate. The room was too hot in December so I definitely wouldn't stay in this hotel in the summer - no aircon and the window only opened a couple of centimetres. The walls are VERY thin so we could clearly hear our neighbours talking, coughing, snoring etc.

Amazing hotel

Liked: It was beautifully decorated for xmas. Beautifully decorated and presented in general. Breakfast was amazing.
Disliked: We didn't work out how to turn ipad off in room so glowed all night. The head board moved every time we turned over.
