Excellent - can't wait to...
Liked: Our room was wonderful - large and with a lovely comfy seating area. Room service was quick and tasty. The highlight though was lunch at The French where Adam Reid produces amazing food. Even with a set lunch menu, I wouldn't change a single thing on the menu.

Fantastic location. Beautiful historic building....
Liked: Receptionist and cleaning staff very pleasant. Location fantastic. Beautiful historic building from the outside.
Disliked: Reception area was lovely but room was a bit tired and overpriced for what it was. Was once a beautiful hotel I'm sure. Didn't like paying £25 for parking across the road. Only £10 just around the corner ( found that when leaving the car park). Suggest hotel gives people this info on arrival. Breakfast expensive.

Liked: The huge room (for a Standard Double) and it?s views over the city. The breakfast was brilliant, and the location right in the centre of Manchester. There was also a good car park (NCP Manchester Central) nearby
Disliked: The price of the car parking which cost us £50+ for two nights.

Can't wait to stay again.
Liked: breakfast amazing. pool and sauna lovely. the whole experience was perfect, every member of staff we encountered went above and beyond. cant wait to go back.
Disliked: i personally think that the rooms need a tiny bit of an update, for example I would like there to have been a coffee machine and a fridge.

Lovely room and lovely service.
Liked: Having a kettle in the room to have tea in the morning! The bathroom had great lighting so if you are a woman who loves doing makeup it?s great lighting.

A great haven for me...
Liked: Wonderful iconic hotel right in the middle of Manchester and perfect for Manchester Central, where we were attending a conference, couldn't be closer from the rear entrance. All the grandeur and splendour of the Victorian era with wonderful, attentive staff to go with it.
Disliked: Hard to say

Disliked: We were not happy with how long it took to bring soya milk even when requested via email 48hrs before arrival and requested again over the phone before check in on the day. To wait a further 1hr 30mins with two calls to reception/guest services once in the room.

Liked: Old world grandeur which cannot be faked. Waiter in bar was helpful and informative. Kind man at concierge desk rescued me when I realised I?d forgotten my cufflinks.
Disliked: Water stains running down the bedroom wall and cornicing. Peeling wallpaper secondary to damp (upstairs bathroom leak presumably). Surely not that hard to sort out?
