Throughout Parkbury Hotel there is wood panelling and marquetry from the RMS Aquitania, the last of the 4-funnel ocean liners. Surrounded by its own gardens, The Parkbury is a wonderful, peaceful base from which to explore the Isle of Wight. Sandown's busy centre, the seafront promenade and the leisure centre are just a few minutes’ downhill walk away. Free off-street parking is available within the hotel’s grounds and the hotel also offers a 25% discount on the cost of your ferry crossing to the Isle of Wight (conditions apply - see below).

To qualify for this discount, you must contact the hotel immediately after you receive your booking reference number, from Booking.com. You must tell the hotel your car registration, make of car, number of passengers and preferred dates/times of crossings. The hotel will then contact you with details of costs, you can then say yes or no. By Car (from the ferry port at Fishbourne): - Coming off the ferry at Fishbourne, follow the signs for Ryde. - Stay on the outer ring road and follow the signs for Sandown. - When approaching Sandown, you will come under the railway bridge, with a petrol station on the left-hand side. - At the small roundabout, take the last exit before coming back on yourself, this is the Broadway. - The hotel is at the top of the hill, on the right-hand side.

Hotel Information

The hotel features an appealing restaurant, as well as the Aquitania Lounge Bar, with regular evening entertainment, separate comfortable lounge areas and a games room. There is an outdoor swimming pool, which is heated from May to September. The pool is located in a secluded rear garden, with lawns and a patio. The gardens create an idyllic surrounding for relaxing in the warm summer sun. The hotel also holds a civil ceremony licence for weddings, should the occasion arise.

All rooms are located on the ground floor or first floor. Every room is decorated and equipped to a high standard.

Area Information

Completely devoted to visitors’ enjoyment, the Isle of Wight has plenty of holiday attractions and lots to see and do, all within a relatively small area. From Sandown, a circular drive around the island's coast can be accomplished in a day, but with so much to see, and with distances between sights and attractions being relatively short, it is easy to plan your own itinerary.
