Liked: The room was freshly decorated, the swimming pool and leisure were exceptional, the entertainment and bingo was good. The staff were really friendly and helpful
Disliked: The temperature control in the room had a bright blue light on the panel which shone a bright blue light across the room which I had to put a chair with a book on top to cover and blacken the room at night

Liked: Hotel well placed for my needs
Disliked: It was very noisey at night. Which is not really the hotels fault. Just some people have no consideration for anyone else

Enjoyed our days out &...
Liked: The hotel is situated in a good position in Torquey with just a 10 min walk down to the beach, plus the little train stops right outside the hotel which is convenient. My husband and I paid £9 (£4.50 each) and could get on and off all day so we did shopping then hopped on and went back to the hotel, left our shopping bags at the hotel & caught the train out again. The dinningroom and bedrooms look decent
Disliked: On 2 separate occasions (while we were in our room) staff entered our room without waiting for permission after knocking on the door briefly (despite us having a ?do not disturb? sign on the door) and the door being locked! Once after we reported an issue with the window & another time at 8.30am in the morning. Then after breakfast one morning, my husband & I returned to our room to find our room door open & ajar, we assumed it was cleaning staff, however our room had not been cleaned & there were no cleaning staff in view. We reported these incidences to the reception staff and despite the reception staff apologising they made no attempt to write down details (times, days etc so the situation could be investigated and staff training undertaken). The bedroom was far too hot. We turned the radiator off, opened the window & took the duvet off the bed but the fan merely moved the hot air around. This was 28th & 29th Dec so I hate to think what the room is like in summer. There was also half an inch gap under the room door and light streamed into the room from the landing/passage lights outside the room. It was also a long walk to the lifts/stairs down to the dinningroom from our room (room no 350)
