Liked: Located close to train station and the quayside
Disliked: Room could have been cleaner, check in from 3pm and check out at 10am. Dirty irons and ironing boards which meant I stained my shirt when ironing it. £5 extra to watch tv!

The location was good but...
Liked: The location was good. Apart from that I?m sorry to say nothing else was.
Disliked: The room was very basic, it?s bonkers that they charge you for watching the telly and I?ve never known any other hotel to charge extra for WiFi. No one came to clean the room once during our 3 night stay, we had to empty our own bin and hand it in at reception. The staff weren?t very friendly either.

Liked: Good central location, close by for all amenities/facilities in Newcastle.
Disliked: Someone opened the room door at 2am.I did not think it possible without a fob/card for the room.

Okay for overnight stay, very...
Liked: Location is excellent. Large room, bathroom clean.
Okay for one night, but not any longer, we stayed for a week. Beds were comfortable.
Disliked: Had to pay extra for TV and Wifi, no tea/coffee making facilities in room, vending machine in reception which tasted like dirty dishwasher. Floor very dirty, one small desk and one chair for two people, no wardrobe or cupboard for clothing, had to leave all clothes in suitcase on floor.

Cheap Room Rates, Perfect Location,...
Liked: The girl on the reception desk who checked me out of my room on the morning of the 21st June was polite.
Disliked: The room was claustrophobic. Too small and the bathroom is tiny. I had to shower with the shower door open! I paid extra (£10 in fact) to use the WIFI for two nights. They expected me to pay further for use of the television and for batteries for the remote control. I'd rather pay higher prices for the rooms and have everything included. There were spiders in my room, dirt on the walls, the paint was patchy in places and obviously hastily decorated. On my return to the hotel on the evening of the 20th June another guest was drunk and had wet herself in the reception area. The reason I know what happened is because a male member of the reception staff was laughing outside the hotel entrance about the incident to two other men. As I walked into the hotel and up the stairs I could hear the drunk guest shouting. There was another female voice calming her down and I assume this could have been another member of the hotel staff - if it was, well done to her. She kept her calm and is a real asset to the hotel. Unfortunately, the drunken woman was on the same floor as me and continued to shout for another hour or so. I could hear her threatening and screaming at other guests as they walked along the same corridor. I wanted an early night but it wasn't possible.
