Home from home

Liked: Lovely, friendly place. Room well appointed and clean, and excellent food. We will definitely go back there should we return to Dundee.
Disliked: Only two (very minor) reservations: it's a long haul up the hill from town if you're on foot, although you can get a taxi from the centre for about six pounds, and the wifi reception was a bit patchy.

Superb

Liked: Quiet area/hotel for a good restful evening but an easy short walk to city centre restaurants , museums , swimming pool/leisure centre, bars etc and Discovery point. Excellent Breakfast included.

Great break - weather was...

Liked: The hoteliers were extra helpful, and friendly. We were upgraded at no extra cost, and the food was excellent.
Disliked: The en suite shower was a trickle, and needed tightening ( we tried unsuccessfully) The owners were so helpful, that it was really not all that important, and we were only there for two days anyway.

Did the job with old...

Liked: A real traditional characterful, family run hotel / guest house from the time before the big hotel chains.
Disliked: The en-suite was obtrusive in the room and made the room a little cramped. Our son's room shared bathroom facilities but that is the era of the building which makes adding bathrooms tricky. But the room was comfortable and adequate for our stay.

Very enjoyable.

Liked: Arbroath Smokies available if ordered in advance ?
Disliked: Would have preferred an ensuite bathroom but these were already booked. Our fault for booking late.
