Liked: Good food, clean room,
Disliked: The dining room could do with updating, the bed was uncomfortable and could benefit from a better quality mattress for a better nights sleep, no table available until late for our evening meal(a separate dining room for guests would be an advantage )

Warm and Welcoming
Liked: Staff were very friendly and efficient The Full English was amazing!!!!!! The bed was so comfy we could have slept for a week as opposed to 6 hours as we were volunteers at Blenheim Horse Trials 2015.
Disliked: We were in Room 7 and could hear the motor or a fan hum form the cleaners store cupboard next to us.

Could be great - do...
Liked: Pub, Restaurant and food good as was most staff.
Bottled water in the room, nice touch.
Disliked: Receptionist was unwelcoming, cold, unhelpful and abrupt. Manager/owner had previously assured us that we would be put in updated rooms not room 5 which my husband had previously stayed in. However, we were given room 5 and 1. Travelling with an 83year old elderly couple, the bathroom light was out, just a little spot light to see which is dangerous for people of that age so we swopped rooms with them. Informed the receptionist that we should have upgraded rooms and that the bathroom light did not work and we were told that there were no other rooms free and the manager was in a meeting. In the end she told us that we could check out if we like and go somewhere else and that the rooms are normally £100 (we paid what the website was asking for)!!! The light did not get fixed and we did not hear from the manger/owner either during our stay. We had booked this trip to Oxford as a gift to my husbands elderly parents to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. Beware that some of the bedrooms have been updated but the bathrooms are a similar level to old Travel Lodge ones. Could be a little gem to stay at but the receptionists attitude was unbelievable.
